Position Overview
We are seeking an inspiring English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Stockport from January 2025. This role is perfect for a skilled teacher with strong subject knowledge, a love for literature, and a genuine passion for helping students develop essential reading, writing, and analytical skills. Your Core Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cover a wide range of English topics, from foundational language skills to advanced literary analysis, in alignment with the national curriculum.
- Support Student Development: Equip students with skills in critical thinking, analysis, and creative writing, fostering a lifelong appreciation for literature.
- Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess students’ progress, offering constructive feedback to build confidence, identify areas for improvement, and guide them through their studies.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive learning environment where students feel motivated and encouraged to participate actively in discussions and activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
