Position: English Teacher
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: January 2024 (or as soon as possible)

The School:
Teaching Personnel are working with a well-established and forward-thinking school in the heart of Southampton, known for its supportive environment, diverse student body, and commitment to educational excellence. The school believes in nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for language in all its forms.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Develop creative and effective teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing feedback to both students and parents.
- Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Ideally a qualified teacher with QTS, however we are able to consider unqualified teachers with rlevant experience.
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
- Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4; experience with KS5 is desirable but not essential.
- A passion for teaching and a desire to make a positive impact on students’ academic and personal development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
