English Teacher – Southampton

Location: Southampton
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm
Start Date: January 2024 (with the option to start earlier)

The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in English Language and Literature.
  • Prepare students for GCSE English by developing their analytical, reading, and writing skills.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Promote a love of reading and support students with various literacy interventions.
  • Collaborate with the English department to share resources and develop best teaching practices.

  • QTS and proven experience in teaching English at KS3 & KS4.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • A passion for English literature and language, with the ability to inspire students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
