English Teacher – Selby

Inspire, Educate, and Empower Students

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Selby. This is an exciting opportunity to engage students with the power of language and literature while supporting their academic growth.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking

  • Assess and track student progress, providing tailored support where needed

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification

  • Experience teaching English at secondary level (preferred but not essential)

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
