English Teacher
Job description
A highly reputable and award-winning specialist SEN school group is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join their team at their Rugby site. This role is offered on a maternity cover basis and provides an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and well-resourced environment.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and tailored English lessons to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). They will play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that students are supported in achieving their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English lessons suited to students with diverse learning needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student requirements, using creative and innovative approaches.
- Work collaboratively with the SEN team, teaching assistants, and other staff to support student development.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and other professionals.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with experience in teaching English.
- Experience working with students with SEN, particularly those with autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties (desirable).
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and engage students.
- A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach to teaching.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Role: English Teacher
Contract: Fulltime, Fixed contract
Start: April 2025 (sooner is desirable)
Salary Dependent on experience, with SEN allowance

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
