Our client, a well-respected secondary school in Newbury, is seeking a motivated and skilled English Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to develop their career in a dynamic and high-achieving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 teaching opportunities may be available).

• Inspire a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking among students.

• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing feedback to support learning.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and teaching strategies.

• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all students.

• Participate in extracurricular activities, such as reading clubs or school productions.

• Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values and ethos.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• A degree in English, Literature, or a related subject.

• Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4; KS5 is desirable but not essential).

• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.

• A commitment to raising attainment and ensuring all students achieve their potential.

• A passion for English and a desire to inspire the next generation.
