A highly reputable secondary school in Newbury is seeking a dedicated and passionate English teacher to join its permanent staff team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to contribute to a thriving English department, inspiring students to develop a love for literature and language.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential opportunities to teach A-Level).
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student progress and achievement.
- Plan, assess, and track student development in line with the national curriculum.
- Contribute to the wider school community and participate in extracurricular activities where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in English or a related subject.
- Experience teaching English at secondary level.
- A passion for literature and language, with the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
