English Teacher  
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent Position

Location: Newbury
Start Date: April 2025 or sooner

A highly reputable secondary school in Newbury is seeking a dedicated and passionate English teacher to join its permanent staff team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to contribute to a thriving English department, inspiring students to develop a love for literature and language.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential opportunities to teach A-Level).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student progress and achievement.
  • Plan, assess, and track student development in line with the national curriculum.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and participate in extracurricular activities where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in English or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level.
  • A passion for literature and language, with the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
