Job description

  1. Head of English - Ealing

Teaching Personnel's PWR team are looking for an experienced and inspirational Head of English to lead a successful English department in a high-achieving secondary school in Ealing. This is a permanent role starting in January, and would be suitable for an existing Head of English or a strong English Teacher looking for the next step in their career. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of raising attainment in English, and will be passionate about inspiring students to achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of English Teachers, and will play a key role in the development of the school's English curriculum. TLR could be offered for the right candidate. This role is on the Outer London Pay Scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the English department, ensuring that all students receive a high-quality English education
  • Develop and implement the school's English curriculum
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students in English, providing regular feedback and support
  • Lead and develop a team of English Teachers, providing CPD and guidance
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
