Role Overview:

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced and passionate Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Levenshulme. Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of mathematics.

• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment where all students feel encouraged to participate and excel.
• Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student work, providing constructive feedback and tracking progress to ensure students meet or exceed expectations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Maths department and wider school staff to align teaching with curriculum goals, share resources, and contribute to the department’s success.
• Pastoral Care: Act as a form tutor or provide support to students as required, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Preparation for Exams: Prepare students thoroughly for internal and external assessments, providing targeted support to help them succeed in their GCSE examinations.
• Professional Development: Engage in regular professional development opportunities offered by the school to enhance teaching practice.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification with a specialism in Mathematics.
• Subject Expertise: A strong understanding of the Maths curriculum and the ability to teach the subject confidently across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Experience: Prior experience in delivering high-quality Maths lessons and supporting a diverse student population is highly desirable.
• Classroom Management Skills: Proven ability to create and maintain an orderly and supportive classroom environment.
