The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to A-Level teaching. They will inspire students to develop strong literacy skills and a love for literature while ensuring excellent progress for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing targeted support where necessary.
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the English department.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain high expectations of student behaviour and achievement in line with school policies.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in English or a related subject.
- Experience teaching English at secondary level.
- A passion for English language and literature, with the ability to inspire students.
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to high standards.
- The ability to differentiate effectively and meet the needs of all learners.
