Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with an excellent mainstream secondary school based in the centre of Coventry (CV1) to appoint a teacher of English on a full time basis. The OFSTED rated Outstanding school boasts exceptional exam results, state of the art facilities and a strong teamwork ethic and culture.
Rate of Pay: To Scale (for long term position)
Hours: Full Time
Ideal Applicant Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
- Degree in English Language and/or Literature
- Experienced and confident teaching English in a UK secondary school
- Knowledge of the UK national curriculum for English
- Awareness and understanding of teaching children with special educational needs
- Strong commitment to fostering safeguarding principles at all times
- Excellent communication skills and ability to fit seamlessly into a team
Overall responsibilites:
You will be responsible for the planning and marking of English lessons, ensuring individual needs within each class and differentiated and catered for.
You will promote the overall wellbeing of students at all times and ensure safeguarding principles are at the centre of your practice.
Your aim is to teach a diverse group of pupils within the school, inspiring the next generation and driving results to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
