Job description
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a recent English Graduate to join one of our client schools in Newcastle as a Teaching Assistant.
In order to be able to be cleared to work within this school, you must complete our registration process, this includes:
• You must undergo a fully enhanced child workforce DBS check. We can help you with this
• Once this check has been completed, you will need to place this onto the update service to ensure that it remains active and up to date.
• You will also be responsible for providing a minimum of two employment-based references which will cover the last two years of your employment history.
• To best prepare you to work within a school, we will also require you to complete an online safeguarding course.
Key information about this position:
• This position is due to begin immediately.
• This position will be full-time.
• The salary for this position will be between £1500 and £1800 per month.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
• You will support the pupils who are struggling the most academically by working with small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
• You should ensure that the pupils are remaining focussed throughout the lesson and that they are gaining a better understanding of the lesson.
• You will support the teacher with any preparation for the lessons.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
