English GCSE Tutor

Would you consider yourself a patient and composed individual? Do you possess a charismatic and creative approach to learning? If you are a Fully Qualified English Tutor who is looking to work on a part-time basis in Pocklington and the surrounding areas, then this role may be for you!
We are looking for a driven and effective English tutor to tutor a Y11 student on the run up to the GCSE exam period. As a tutor, you will need to be able to build a relationship with this student to help tailor your approach to cater for their additional needs and preferences. The session being considered is a 2 hour English sessions each week (2 hrs per week). If you are interested in this role, please stipulate your availability for work e.g. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays etc.
The pay for tutoring is £25-£30 per hour. It is desirable for the applicants to hold full UK driving licence as a selection of the pupils will need to be tutored within their home/at a local library.
Requirements for the role:
- Professional Teaching Qualifications are preferred (Qualified Teacher Status, PGCE etc.).
- An excellent grasp of the English Language.
- A desire to promote and encourage, as well as motivate themselves.
- An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).
- A strong subject knowledge of the English Language and Literature Curriculum.
- Experience of working with young people and delivering GCSE level content (Desirable).
- Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
