Job Title: English and Maths Functional Skills Tutor

Job Duties:

  • Deliver English and Maths functional skills tutoring to students
  • Develop tailored lesson plans to meet individual learning needs
  • Assess students' progress and provide feedback on their performance
  • Support students in improving their English and Maths skills
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to engage students in the learning process

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Specialisation in English and Maths
  • Experience in delivering functional skills tutoring

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of English and Maths curriculum
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive learning materials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective classroom management techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in teaching English and Maths
  • Experience working with SEN learners

Working Conditions:

The role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis in a learners home setting. The tutor will be required to work closely with students to improve their English and Maths skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
