Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Delivering Lessons: Design and deliver engaging and comprehensive Engineering lessons for KS4 and KS5 students, ensuring lessons are tailored to meet the needs of learners at different skill levels.

  • Promoting Critical Thinking and Practical Skills: Encourage students to develop problem-solving, analytical, and hands-on skills through project-based learning and real-world applications of engineering concepts.

  • Assessment and Feedback: Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing detailed, constructive feedback to help them achieve their academic and vocational goals. Prepare students for exams and coursework, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Degree in Engineering or a related field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Manufacturing, or any STEM-related discipline.
  • Proven experience teaching Engineering at the KS5 level or relevant teaching experience in similar subjects such as Design and Technology, Physics, or Applied Sciences.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to make complex concepts accessible and engaging to students.
  • A passion for developing students' problem-solving, technical, and analytical skills.
