Main roles and Responsibilities –
- Participate in planning and staff meetings.
- Teaching all pupils in your class according to the National curriculum.
- Targeting and adapting the lesson to the specific needs of each child.
- Completing all records and assessments determined by the school’s policy.
- Making use of ICT to enhance understanding of tasks and lessons.
- Organising resources for the subject/area so that they are accessible, orderly, well labelled and appropriate.
- Involve pupils in self and peer assessment.
- Using a variety of teaching and learning styles to ensure and maintain high standards of learning, behaviour and progress in the class.
- Attend all assessment, progression and development meetings as well as parents evening.
- Create and build appropriate teacher – parent relationships.
- Prepare pupils for going into next academic year.
- Liase with other teachers regarding pupil information and needs.
- Always operate within the set policies of the school.
- Leading classes by giving lectures, demonstrating tasks, assigning tasks and encouraging discussions
- Answering students questions
- Setting homework or exercises for students to practice their skills after class
Key skills and requirements –
- Be studying your PGCE (ECT ONLY)
- Experience in KS1 AND KS2.
- A good understanding of the curriculum and behavioural management techniques.
- Reliable.
- Punctual.
- Compassionate.
- IT competent.
- Presentable and professional.

Salary - £20,000 - £40,000
M1 – M5 PayScale

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
