Your Role as an Early Years Teacher
6.5 hours per day | Term-Time | SEN Provision | Ages 2–18
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a dynamic and flexible curriculum that is adapted to meet the needs of children with a variety of special educational needs. These students may have autism, communication challenges, and emotional needs, requiring your expertise and understanding to support their development.
Your teaching will focus on creating an engaging and structured learning environment where every child can succeed, using creative methods to promote learning through play, structured activities, and interaction. You will also focus on helping your students develop important life skills such as social interaction, self-regulation, and emotional expression.
Alongside this, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of teaching assistants, speech and language therapists, and other specialists to ensure that each child receives personalised support. You will track progress, monitor individual goals, and keep communication lines open with parents and carers to ensure consistency between home and school life.
