Job description

Are you a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology teacher looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative DT Teacher to join our supportive and vibrant school community in Rochdale on a maternity cover basis. If you have a strong knowledge of Design & Technology, excellent classroom management skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality education, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Design & Technology to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.

  • Assess, track, and report on student progress.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Work collaboratively with the DT department and other staff members.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified teacher with experience in teaching Design & Technology.

  • Strong communication skills and a passion for fostering creativity and critical thinking.

  • Ability to inspire and engage students in a range of DT topics, including Resistant Materials, Product Design, and Food Technology.

  • A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching and classroom management.

  • Experience with the use of practical equipment and software for DT lessons.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
