Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a vibrant secondary school in York to recruit a Drama Teacher for the new academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative educator to inspire students through performing arts and contribute to a thriving school community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Drama lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5. The school is looking for someone who can foster a love for performance, develop students’ confidence and creativity, and support their academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver dynamic Drama lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

• Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as school productions and clubs

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the department’s aims

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching Drama at secondary level

• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding

• Enthusiasm for engaging young people in the performing arts
