Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a vibrant secondary school in York to recruit a Drama Teacher for the new academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative educator to inspire students through performing arts and contribute to a thriving school community.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Drama lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5. The school is looking for someone who can foster a love for performance, develop students’ confidence and creativity, and support their academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver dynamic Drama lessons in line with the national curriculum

Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as school productions and clubs

Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the department’s aims
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience teaching Drama at secondary level
-
Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding
-
Enthusiasm for engaging young people in the performing arts

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
