Drama Teacher - Immediate Start

We are looking for an experience Drama teacher to support in one of our outstanding secondary schools, in North Manchester, this May.

Our partnered school has a drama department which is dedicated to nurturing creativity, confidence, and collaboration among our students. We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Drama Teacher to join their dynamic team and inspire the next generation of performers and theatre enthusiasts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging drama curriculum for students of varying ages and skill levels.
• Direct and produce school plays, musicals, and other performances.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages self-expression and teamwork.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate drama into interdisciplinary projects.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their acting, directing, and technical theatre skills.
• Organise and oversee drama club activities, workshops, and field trips.
• Stay current with theatre education trends and incorporate new techniques and technologies into your teaching.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Drama, Theatre Arts, or a related field (master’s preferred).
• Teaching certification (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
• Strong background in both performance and technical aspects of theatre.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and engage students with diverse learning styles.
• Experience directing school or community theatre productions.
