Role: Teacher of Design Technology

Location: Thirsk

Start date: 6th January 2025

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a Teacher of Design Technology to join one of our client secondary schools in the North Yorkshire area. The post will begin in the new year and run up until at least the end of this academic year.

The Ofsted rated 'Good' 11-18 secondary school and sixth form college, located in Thirsk, has a strong community feel and places great emphasis on the partnership between school and home, priding itself on its strong and positive relationships between staff, pupils and their families.

About this role:

  • Full-time Design Technology Teacher
  • Post starting 6th January 2025
  • 11-18 secondary school based in Thirsk
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS
  • Teaching a full Design Technology timetable across Key Stage 3 an 4

Candidate requirements:

  • Must hold QTS in the UK
  • Must be able to confidently deliver Design Technology to Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Must possess a DBS on the update service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS (Child Workforce Only)
  • Knowledge and experience of BTEC Engineering would be advantageous

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
