Salary: £31,650.00 - £49,084.00 Annually (Actual)
Teaching Personnel is seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology to join our partner secondary school. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a dynamic and engaging Design Technology curriculum, ensuring students are inspired and supported in their learning from the outset.
The school opened in September 2023 and is steadily growing, with Year 7, Year 8, and Year 9 cohorts from September 2025, and an eventual capacity of 1,500 students, including a sixth form of 300. The upcoming academic year marks an exciting milestone as the school introduces its first KS4 Technology subjects: GCSE Product Design and Hospitality & Catering. This is an exciting time to be part of the evolving Technology department.
The Role:

Deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills.

Develop an engaging and ambitious curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.

Be an enthusiastic and innovative classroom practitioner, committed to inspiring students in all aspects of Design and Technology.

Contribute to the school’s wider ethos by supporting students’ pastoral and personal development.

Be a form tutor as part of the school's vertical tutoring model, providing pastoral care and academic support.
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have QTS and experience teaching Design Technology at KS3 and KS4.

Be passionate about inspiring students and raising achievement in Design Technology.

Be adaptable, motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

Have strong subject knowledge and a deep understanding of the latest curriculum developments.

Be dedicated to student success, demonstrating high expectations for all learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
