Job description

Design & Technology Teacher

We’re currently seeking highly experienced, qualified Design Technology Teachers to join Teaching Personnel and work in our client schools across the Northamptonshire area.

The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering (and sometimes planning and marking) engaging and high quality lessons to students across key stage 3, 4 and 5. We are looking for teachers with specialisms in food technology, Resistant materials, woodworks and graphics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in your chosen design and technology specialism
  • 2 years minimum teaching experience
  • Fully Qualified Teacher status is not necessary but ideal
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to student centred teaching and learning
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve excellent

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
