Design and Technology Teacher

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Design and Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking school in Christchurch, Dorset, starting in September 2025. The school is looking for a dynamic, creative, and passionate individual who can inspire students through the study of Design and Technology, whether on a full-time or part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Design and Technology across a range of year groups, with a focus on practical and theoretical skills.

• Develop engaging and challenging lesson plans that encourage innovation and problem-solving.

• Support students in developing technical knowledge, design skills, and creativity.

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to promote growth.

• Maintain a well-organised and safe learning environment for practical lessons.

• Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve the curriculum and school initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified teacher with a degree in Design and Technology or a related subject.

• Experience teaching Design and Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS3/KS4); KS5 experience is desirable but not essential.

• A passion for the subject with the ability to inspire students and encourage independent learning.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

• Creative and innovative in developing engaging lessons that cater to different learning styles.

• A commitment to student achievement and personal development.
