Job description

Are you passionate about supporting students and helping them reach their full potential? Do you want to make a positive impact in the classroom while working in a dynamic and supportive school environment?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Curriculum Support Assistant to join our school team in Halifax starting this Easter. As a key member of our support staff, you will assist in delivering engaging lessons, providing tailored support to students, and helping to create an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teachers in the delivery of lessons and activities across various subjects
  • Assisting students in small group or one-to-one settings to ensure they grasp key concepts
  • Providing targeted support for students with additional learning needs
  • Helping to prepare learning materials and resources for the classroom
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress, offering feedback to teachers
  • Promoting an inclusive and positive classroom environment
  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the curriculum and classroom activities

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people (in a school or similar setting)
  • A passion for supporting student learning and development
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Ability to adapt to different learning needs and teaching styles
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
