Job Title: Cover Teacher

Location:

East of England, Cambridgeshire, Wisbech

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work full-time hours

£100 - £180 per day

We are looking for a cover teacher to take on a temporary teaching role at a secondary academy in the Wisbech area, applicants must be comfortable and experienced teaching one fo the following; SEN, English or Humanities and must be available immediately, until April 2025. The role would be suitable for an experienced cover supervisor or qualified teacher who is looking for a full time temporary position. 

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver lesson plans to students in Secondary setting
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Manage student behaviour effectively
  • Provide feedback to the regular teacher on student progress
  • Ensure all safeguarding, health, and safety requirements are met

Requiredments for the role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Bachelors degree in educaiton or relevant subject
  • Enhanced DBS check 
  • Recent teaching experience in Secondary school/s that can be referenced

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and environments
  • Knowledge of the UK national curriculum

Working Conditions:

  • Temporary position with the potential for extension
  • Full-time hours during term time
  • Work in a school setting following school hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
