Cover Teacher (Graduate Role)

Location: Bridgend, RCT, Port Talbot, Vale of Glamorgan (mid-Glamorgan)
Salary: £100 - £115 per day (based on experience)
Contract: Flexible, Part-Time Roles Available

Are you a graduate with a passion for education? We are looking for enthusiastic and confident individuals to join schools across the mid-Glamorgan area as Cover Teachers. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the classroom, develop your teaching skills, and make a difference in the lives of students – all without requiring a PGCE.

About the Role:

Cover teaching (or cover supervising) is an unqualified teaching position, where you will:

  • Supervise and manage classrooms during teacher absences.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to ensure the continuity of learning.
  • Support and engage students in their learning.
  • Implement basic behaviour management strategies to maintain a productive classroom environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Graduate: No PGCE required! Ideal for those exploring a teaching career.
  • Coaching Experience (Desirable): Transferable interpersonal skills and behaviour management strategies make you a standout candidate.
  • Flexible and Adaptable: You thrive in diverse and dynamic environments.
  • Experienced Teaching Assistants: TA experience is highly valued and encouraged.
  • A passion for education and a desire to inspire young minds.
