Cover Supervisor – Part-Time Position in Wiltshire

A leading school in Wiltshire is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Cover Supervisor to support students aged 9 to 16. This part-time role, running from 8.30am to 5pm, is ideal for someone with a passion for working with young people and a desire to make a real difference in the lives of those with special educational needs (SEN).

The school is well-known for its inclusive and nurturing environment, where students with SEN receive the individual support they need to succeed.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting both the academic and emotional development of these students, ensuring they are able to access the curriculum and engage with their learning in a meaningful way.

 

What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will be responsible for supervising classes when the teacher is absent, ensuring that students remain focused, on task, and continue to make progress in their learning.

You will also assist in managing students' behaviour and promoting a positive classroom atmosphere. Your role will involve working closely with students with a variety of SEN, including those with communication difficulties, physical disabilities, and emotional or behavioural needs.

You will be a key part of the school’s supportive team, helping to ensure that every student has the best opportunity to succeed in their education. You will also be involved in assisting with the preparation of lesson resources and providing additional support for individual students when needed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
