Cover Supervisor Opportunity

Teaching Personnel is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Cover Supervisor to support a forward-thinking school in delivering high-quality education. This role offers an exciting opportunity to step into a classroom setting, providing supervision and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning during teacher absences.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:

  • Supervise classes across various subjects, delivering pre-set lesson plans and ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a safe and respectful atmosphere.
  • Support students by addressing any questions or concerns related to their work.
  • Liaise with teaching staff to provide feedback on lesson outcomes and student engagement.
  • Step into varied roles, including supporting extracurricular activities and providing additional support to departments when required.

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will:

  • Be confident, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Have the ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and establish strong relationships with students.
  • Demonstrate adaptability, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting students' learning.
  • Be interested in education, with experience working with young people, though this is not essential as training will be provided.
  • Have a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all students.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience in youth work, sports coaching, or similar fields who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
