Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: England, South East England, Surrey

Job Type: Contract, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £90 - £120 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Implement pre-prepared lesson plans provided by the school
  • Maintain discipline and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Assist students with their work and provide support as needed
  • Report back on the behaviour and progress of students to the relevant staff

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work

Education:

  • Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent

Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Experience in a classroom setting is desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Basic knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Ability to build rapport with students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, typically during school hours
  • Work in a school environment with young students
  • May require standing for extended periods

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
