Job description

Teaching Personnel have a great opportunity for a Cover Supervisor to provide general cover across Secondary Schools in Southampton and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in education, develop your classroom management skills, and contribute to the learning journey of young people.

The flexible role will provide cover for pupils across the KS3 and KS4 curriculum to meet the needs of schools within the area. There is the potential for long
er term positions for the right candidate. The successful candidate will need to have a flexible and adaptive nature, and be open to covering a variety of subjects and age groups depending on what is required at the time. It is also ideal that you have an innovative mindset to adapt the lessons to all different skill sets to ensure understanding across the board for all students.

You will be responsible for delivery of pre-planned lessons and supervision of pupils, to cover PPA and short-term absence. Ensuring effective behaviour management in line with school policy and engaging pupils within the learning environment.

Requirements:
• Availability at least one day per week 
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Degree - all subjects welcomed but desirable subjects are English, Maths, Science, PE and Education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
