Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Job Duties:

- Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher - Implement pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure a conducive learning environment - Maintain discipline and manage student behaviour effectively - Provide support to students in their learning and development - Liaise with teaching staff and senior management as required

Required Qualifications:

- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism - Flexible and adaptable approach to work - Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable - Knowledge of classroom management techniques - Ability to follow instructions and work independently - Good organisational and time-management skills - Passion for education and supporting student learning

Working Conditions:

- Part-Time hours, typically covering absences on short notice - Work within a school environment with exposure to classroom settings - Potential for interaction with students, teaching staff, and parents - Adherence to school policies and procedures - Support provided by teaching staff and senior management for guidance and assistance

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
