Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to join our team and work with schools across Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, develop teaching skills, or support students in a meaningful way.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Manage the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans to students across various subjects.
  • Ensure students remain focused and on-task.
  • Handle any immediate issues or concerns in the classroom.
  • Provide support to students, encouraging a positive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with young people (in an educational setting or other roles) is desirable but not essential.
  • Confidence in managing a classroom and maintaining discipline.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine interest in supporting students' education.
  • Availability to work during school hours (typically 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
