Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our school team in Rochdale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classes in the absence of the class teacher
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and activities, ensuring student engagement and learning
  • Support students’ academic and behavioural needs
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide feedback on student progress and behaviour to the teaching staff
  • Ensure the smooth running of the class by managing classroom behaviour and supporting students where necessary

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young people, preferably in a school setting
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is confident in managing groups of students
  • Is adaptable, resilient, and proactive in a fast-paced environment
  • Holds at least a Level 2 qualification in education or related field (preferred but not essential)
  • Is passionate about supporting students in their learning journey

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
