Job Description:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the learning environment remains positive and productive in the absence of regular teaching staff. You will be responsible for supervising students in class, ensuring they remain engaged and on task while following the lesson plan provided.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support students during lessons, ensuring they remain engaged and follow instructions.

Manage classroom behavior to ensure a positive learning environment.

Follow lesson plans provided by absent teachers to ensure continuity of education.

Support students with learning activities, providing assistance where needed.

Ensure the classroom is set up and tidied appropriately before and after lessons.

Report any issues, concerns, or incidents to relevant staff.

Promote a safe and respectful learning environment.
Ideal Candidate:
-
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students.
-
Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a classroom setting (though not essential).

A calm and confident approach to classroom management.
-
Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and lessons.
-
A positive, professional attitude with a strong desire to support the education of young people.

A proactive and flexible approach to work.
Qualifications:
-
A relevant qualification (e.g., GCSEs, A-levels, or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential.

A DBS check is required (we will assist with the application if needed).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
