Cover Supervisor

Role: Cover Supervisor

Salary: £90-£115 per day

Location: Pembroke

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (no weekends)

Closing Date: Friday 1st November

Teaching Personnel are looking for a cover supervisor to provide general cover in a partner school in the Pembroke area. The school are always on the lookout for cover supervisors to join their team to support the teaching staff when there are illnesses or absences.

  • Previous experience either working as a Cover Supervisor or delivering lessons in secondary schools as an Unqualified Teacher is preferred, however, we would welcome applicants from anybody with transferrable experience or skills, or those who have supported young people in a similar capacity.

Roles and responsibilities of Cover Supervisor

  • Delivering lessons where the work has been set by the teacher.
  • Ensuring positive behaviour management in accordance with school policies
  • Supporting pupils who are having difficulty in completing the work that has been set.
  • Developing strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues to create a positive learning environment.
  • Assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times, including before and after school and at lunchtime.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
