Cover Supervisor – Leeds
Looking to gain hands-on classroom experience? Teaching Personnel is recruiting a flexible and motivated Cover Supervisor to work in secondary schools across Leeds, starting in January 2025. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone interested in working with young people in an educational setting. Cover Supervisors play an essential role in maintaining continuity in the classroom when teachers are absent, ensuring that students remain focused and engaged with the provided lesson plans.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons across various subjects and year groups
- Supervise and manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a productive learning atmosphere
- Encourage students to engage with the lesson content and assist where needed
- Maintain classroom safety and follow school policies
Ideal Candidate:
Successful candidates will be confident, adaptable, and capable of managing a classroom independently. While prior experience in an educational setting is helpful, strong communication skills and an ability to connect with students are the most crucial qualities. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
