Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Job Duties:

  • Supervising and managing classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Implementing pre-prepared lesson plans and ensuring students remain on task
  • Maintaining a positive learning environment and managing student behaviour
  • Providing support to students on an individual or group basis when necessary
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as required

Required Qualifications:

Degree in a relevant field

Education:

Minimum of a Degree qualification

Experience:

Prior experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Confidence in managing classroom activities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching or classroom management experience

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, following the school’s policies and procedures. The Cover Supervisor may be required to deal with challenging behaviour at times.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
