Are you a graduate looking for flexible work in education? Do you have a passion for supporting young people? We have an exciting opportunity for a Cover Supervisor to work across various secondary schools in Havant, with the flexibility to be called for bookings in the morning.

What is a Cover Supervisor?

A Cover Supervisor steps in to manage a classroom when the regular teacher is absent. Your role is to ensure students stay engaged with pre-set work, maintain a positive learning environment, and manage classroom behaviour. It’s a vital role that keeps the school running smoothly and offers you invaluable classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising classes in teacher absences.
  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and ensuring students stay on task.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and encouraging student engagement.
  • Supporting students with their work and answering questions.
  • Reporting any issues or concerns to senior staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
