Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in the absence of the classroom teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students are engaged with the work set.
- Provide support to pupils during lessons where required.
- Respond to any questions or concerns that pupils may have about their work.
- Uphold the school’s behaviour policies and deal with any disruptive students appropriately.
- Report back to teachers on the progress and behaviour of students during the lesson.
- Assist with administrative tasks when required.
Requirements:
- Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- A degree is beneficial but not essential – particularly for those considering a future in teaching.
