Cover Teachers Wanted- Braintree

Are you passionate about working with young people and seeking flexible teaching opportunities? We are looking for enthusiastic Cover Teachers to support secondary schools in Braintree. Whether you are a qualified teacher (QTS) or an experienced Cover Supervisor, this is your chance to inspire students and gain valuable classroom experience.

The Role:

  • Start Date: Immediate opportunities available
  • Location: Secondary schools in Braintree
  • Flexibility: Full-time and part-time positions available to fit your schedule

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and create a productive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and respectful atmosphere
  • Engage with students and build rapport to support their learning and personal growth
  • Provide guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback to students

Who Can Apply?

While Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not a requirement, we welcome candidates with a Certificate in Education and Training (CET) or equivalent qualifications. If you have experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring young people, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Confidence in leading a class and motivating students
  • A natural ability to build rapport with young people, creating an engaging and supportive environment
  • Experience in youth work, sports coaching, alternative provision, charities, care work, or youth engagement services is highly desirable
  • A passion for education and helping young people succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
