Job Description:

Are you passionate about supporting students and helping maintain a positive learning environment? Teaching Personnel is looking for dedicated and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across the Bournemouth, Poole, and Christchurch areas. This role is perfect for individuals interested in a career in education, offering valuable classroom experience while supporting teachers and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Management: Supervise and maintain an orderly environment in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students stay focused and on task.
  • Distributing and Explaining Pre-Set Work: Provide students with assignments prepared by the absent teacher, ensuring they understand the tasks and expectations.
  • Supporting Students: Address questions regarding their work as needed, providing guidance and maintaining engagement.
  • Administrative Duties: Record attendance and manage classroom resources effectively.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Education: Prior experience in a school setting, particularly with secondary students, is beneficial.
  • Strong Communication Skills: The ability to engage and manage a class effectively, maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere.
  • Adaptability and Reliability: Able to handle varied situations and act quickly to support students and staff needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
