Job description

Teaching Personnel are working closely with Secondary schools across Blackburn, and require Cover Supervisors for regular weekly bookings, and occasional longer-term assignments.

We have a high demand for secondary school cover in Pendle area and are therefore looking for local Cover Supervisors who can help cover bookings across a variety of subjects for the Autumn Term, starting ASAP.

Applicants offering both full and part time availability are welcomed.

Responsibilities:

  • The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to ensuring all students achieve their full potential.
  • Responsibilities include implementing the planning which will be left for the class teaching programmes.
  • The successful candidate will prove they are effective collaborators with all staff, visitors, and other agencies.
  • Successful candidates will have a working knowledge of safeguarding, ensuring any concerns are reported.
  • To actively contribute towards a positive culture within the school.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified (if possible, in a core GCSE subject).
  • DBS Enhanced Disclosure.
  • Employment References from previous Teaching work.
  • A passion and good knowledge for working with local secondary schools to help maintain standards.
  • To establish appropriate relationships with young people and other professionals.
  • Be reliable, enthusiastic, creative and honest.
  • Have the ability to engage all students.
