About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and flexible Cover Supervisors to work on a daily, ad hoc basis in secondary schools across Liverpool. As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans and manage classroom behaviour in the absence of teaching staff.
  • Support and engage with students to ensure they remain on task.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and productive learning environment.
  • Gain invaluable classroom experience, making it an ideal role for aspiring teachers or those exploring a career in education.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed as a Cover Supervisor, you’ll need:

  • Adaptability: Confidence to work across a variety of subjects and schools.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage with students and colleagues effectively.
  • Resilience and Positivity: Capacity to manage classroom dynamics and inspire students.
  • Relevant Experience: While experience in education is beneficial, we welcome applications from those with transferable skills from fields such as youth work, coaching, or childcare.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one. (We can assist you with this)
  • References covering the last two years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
