Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Computer Science teacher to join our thriving department in September 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement a robust curriculum for students of all abilities.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and promote an enthusiasm for technology within the school community.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a well-rounded educational experience for all students.

Essential Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Passion for teaching and inspiring students in Computer Science.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching to cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3 or 4.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) and current technological trends.
  • Experience with exam boards and assessment frameworks.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
