Computer Science Teacher
Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Computer Science teacher to join our thriving department in September 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Develop and implement a robust curriculum for students of all abilities.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and promote an enthusiasm for technology within the school community.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a well-rounded educational experience for all students.
Essential Requirements:
- A relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students in Computer Science.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate teaching to cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3 or 4.
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) and current technological trends.
- Experience with exam boards and assessment frameworks.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
