ARE YOU A QUALIFIED COMPUTER SCIENCE TEACHER?

HAVE YOU GOT STRONG KNOWLEDGE OF THE SECONDARY NATIONAL CURRICULUM FOR COMPUTER SCIENCE?

If yes, then this may just be the role for you!

 

Teaching Personnel are working in close partnership with an Ofsted rated "Outstanding" school in central Coventry, to recruit a fully qualified computer science teacher on a full time basis.

The behaviour within the school is renowned for being exceptional and the pupils are generally engaged well within every lesson.

 

The finer details:

Hours: Full Time (Mon-Fri)

Start Date: January 2025

Pay: To scale 

Location: Coventry, CV1

 

Person Specification:

- A degree level qualification in ICT/Computer Science

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Competent to teach up to and including GCSE Computer Science ( ability to teach A Level is a bonus!)

- Experience of delivering outstanding attainment and achievement

- Be innovative and creative to engage learners and ensure they are progressing in line with their academic targets

 

Job Role:

-Plan, design and produce teaching materials and resources which are appropriate to age and ability in line with the Computer Science national curriculum guidelines

        -Plan, deliver and review Computer Science lessons which are appropriate to the age and ability of the students so as to facilitate progression in students’ learning

- Regularly assess pupil progress and development and report on the level of progress and attainment to the pupils, parents and colleagues

- Manage the classroom and teaching equipment to help create a positive and stimulating learning environment

- Attend meetings, contribute to wider school community where possible

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
