Are you an experienced and passionate SEN teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in Bristol? Would you like to work in a  specialist school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic SEN teacher to:

  • Deliver engaging and individualised lessons tailored to the needs of children with ASD and PMLD.
  • Implement and adapt EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) effectively.
  • Foster a nurturing and safe environment, promoting positive learning experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, teaching assistants, and families.
  • Employ creative strategies to support sensory and communication needs.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD and PMLD.
  • Knowledge of sensory integration techniques and alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS).
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of children with complex needs.
  • Strong teamwork and organisational skills.
