Primary School Class Teacher

Salary: £130 - £145 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

About the Role

Join a network of vibrant and supportive schools in Goole as a Class Teacher, providing flexible, short-term supply cover. You will have the opportunity to teach pre-arranged lessons and occasionally be called upon for same-day cover, making adaptability and enthusiasm essential for success.

You will play a pivotal role in:

  • Delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and the wider school community.
  • Maintaining a productive and inclusive learning environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of your pupils.
  • Create a positive classroom atmosphere where pupils feel supported and motivated to succeed.
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and other staff to maximise learning outcomes.
  • Assess, monitor, and provide feedback to help students reach their full potential.
  • Follow each school's policies, including marking work and leaving detailed handover notes for the regular Class Teacher.
  • Ensure a safe and secure learning environment by adhering to safeguarding policies.

 

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a qualified teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply!
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the national curriculum and creative teaching strategies.
  • Has excellent classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to new environments.
  • Is passionate about making a positive impact on young learners.
  • Understands and upholds safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
