Teaching Personnel are working closely with a SEN school that is based in the Brighton & Hove area. The school are now looking to recruit individuals who could be strong role models for their pupils as well as being able to work 1:1 and in small groups with them. It’s important that you have a passion for education and special educational needs, you will be working alongside brilliant staff members who also share the same passion for SEN as you hopefully do!

About the School:

The SEN provision caters for pupils between the ages of 6-15 years of age, all pupils will have the following needs: Autism, ADHD, PMLD (Profound, Multiple, Learning, Difficulties). The schools have wonderful facilities including spacious grounds (which include forest schooling) as well as an indoor swimming pool for their pupils!

About the Role:

The chosen Child Mentor will be expected to be a strong role model for the pupils that attend the school. You will be expected work closely with the pupils, within class, in-between class and on school outings. It’s important that you bond with the pupils, building a strong relationship is key to the job role!

Additional Information:

Travel: Bus/Car

Pay: £83.85 pd (Minimum)

Hours: 8:30am – 15:30pm

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Location: Brighton & Hove

DBS: Child Only Enhanced DBS

Experience: Autism, ADHD, PMLD

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
