SEN Child Mentor

  • Do you have experience in 1:1 support?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a specialist provision that is based in the Brighton & Hove area. The school are looking for Child Mentors who are able to work closely with both their primary and secondary pupils, you will be expected to work 1:1 and in small groups. If you’re able to support the pupils in class, in-between class and during school outings then this role is for you!

About the school:

The provision is a primary & secondary SEN school that is based in Brighton that cater for pupils between the ages of 6-16 years of age. The pupils will have a range of needs but primarily will have PMLD (Profound, Multiple, Learning, Disabilities). The pupils will have EHCP’s (Educational, Health, Care, Plans), as well as learning from a fantastic curriculum that benefits of their induvial plans!

About the role:

The chosen educator will be expected to be bubbly, outgoing and confident as well as being able to build strong relationships with the pupils that attend the school. If you’re looking for a long-term role within SEN and are looking for a school in Brighton, then this role is for you!

Additional Information:

SEN: PMLD, ASC

Hours: 8:30am – 15:30pm

Pay: £420 - £450 per week

Availability: Monday – Friday (Full-Time)

Contract: Temp to Perm

Experience: Mentoring

DBS: Child Only Enhanced DBS
